Yummy shaorma/shawarma recipe!
You will need:
- chicken meat (500gr)
- thin pitta bread (make sure its somewhat flat)
- Sauce; ketchup, mayo, mayo-ketchup pink sauce
- Vegetables to your liking (I like onion and lettuce)
- oil (sunflower oil works nice)
- condiments (this is up to taste)
Making the chicken
- Take your chicken and cut it into small, thin pieces.
- put your chicken in a big bowl and rub in some oil
- put in the condiments and rub the condiments well into the chicken; make sure every little piece is covered nicely. The condiment layer should be nice and thick.
- let the chicken marinate in condiments for at least 30 minutes
- When that is done, take your chicken and place it into a heated big pan with oil in it.
- Cook the chicken until it is thoroughly done. Take it out of the pan and put it in another bowl; your chicken is done!
Preparing- final steps
- Take a pitta and put your sauces of choice on it
- On a side of the pitta put your chicken, and over that put the vegetables
- Roll the shawarma (or shaorma), and with that you are done!!
